| Dear Colleagues, We are excited to introduce the new EUGMS Perioperative Geriatric Medicine Special Interest Group (SIG), a dedicated forum for healthcare professionals focused on advancing the care of older adults in the perioperative setting. This SIG aims to foster pan-European collaboration and sharing of knowledge, in order to produce high quality research, society consensus statements and guidelines, and create novel educational content. We feel passionately about improving the quality of life for geriatric patients undergoing surgery, and we warmly invite geriatricians, other clinicians, and researchers with a similar interest in perioperative care to join our SIG. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the field of perioperative geriatric medicine.
